About the Mary Sully Foundation

The Mary Sully Foundation is a 501C3 that was established in 2023 to advance three main goals:

  • The primary goal of the Foundation is to secure a place for the art of Mary Sully in the American Modern art canon. This will happen by generating greater awareness of the art through exhibitions and further scholarship.

  • We aspire to provide philanthropy support dedicated to opportunities for emerging Native American artists, through scholarship funds and through material and tool grants.

  • In addition, we hope to find partners that will allow this art to offer economic growth opportunities in Indian Country. By working with Native partners, we imagine possible design innovation that can create sustainable results.
